The churches of South West Cumbria United Area have long been keen supporters of Fairtrade, organising a variety of events for Fairtrade Fortnight every year. We use Fairtrade products like tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits at church events and for refreshments after services, display materials to promote Fairtrade and have included prayers and readings about Fairtrade in our worship. Several churches have a regular Fairtrade stall and some are renewing their Fairtrade status.
